Freedom Park was named in recognition of the province’s (Nueva Ecija) glorious past and its contribution to the country’s quest for freedom and democracy during the last world war.
It was designed by prominent American architect William Parsons who also designed government buildings during the American Colonial Period – in front of the Old Provincial Capitol of Nueva Ecija.

Various monuments and memorials can be found inside the park which includes a monument dedicated to General Antonio Luna who was assassinated in the nearby Cathedral of San Nicolas de Tolentino.

Coming from the name “Freedom Park” , this is where families, friends, lovers or anyone, gather to freely spend quality time. Also, students go here to practice their particular practical works or performances. Squads also pick this place to have some talk about themselves and families visit the park especially with their little ones to play and enjoy the playgrounds indicated inside the park.
